Abstract
En una sociedad marcada por la incertidumbre producto por los cambios abruptos y vertiginosos, la necesidad de innovar es inmediata y permanente para poder adaptarse a los cambios y encontrar un camino de progreso; en materia de educación es lo que UMECIT ha venido haciendo desde su creación con el fin de poder lograr la mejor formación para sus estudiantes. La Universidad Metropolitana de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología UMECIT, nace en el año 2004 con la filosofía de poder brindarle la mejor oportunidad de formación universitaria inclusiva y a toda persona sin distingo de raza, género, credo, posición social o situación geográfica donde habite y es por ello que desde nuestros inicios venimos trazando un camino audaz y visionario, emergiendo como pionera en la adopción de la educación virtual en Panamá. Este compromiso no sólo refleja nuestra habilidad para adaptarnos a los tiempos cambiantes, sino que también demuestra nuestra dedicación a utilizar la tecnología emergente para cultivar la excelencia en nuestros procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
