Abstract

The present research emphasizes the importance of understanding the psychosocial effect on women who are both mothers and members of the National Police of Colombia. The increasing presence of women in the armed forces, particularly in the National Police, is supported by statistical data, underscoring the significance of addressing the challenges they face. A research question is posed regarding the psychosocial effect, and specific objectives are established for future studies. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of the experience of uniformed mothers in the National Police. The quantitative approach aims to collect numerical data through surveys, while the qualitative approach focuses on in-depth understanding through interviews and focus groups. This combination of methods provides a holistic view of the psychosocial effects on this specific group of women.
