Abstract

The safety of maritime transport is essential for what has been called globalization. Today ships worldwide must comply with minute regulations on safety and prevention of marine pollution. But this has not always been the case. This article seeks to address that concept modeling Maritime Safety from a retrospective view as well as from within an integrative concept.
