Abstract

The present research entitled “Perception of users and patients regarding the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of the electronic clinical record in the Health Center the Rio Abajo ande The Health Policenter of Parque Lefevre”, as a tool of the Electronic Health Information System (SEIS), implemented in the facilities of the Ministry of Health of Panama in 2013 in central provinces and in 2015 in the metropolitan área, is based on a descriptive - exploratory study, through the application of a structured questionnaire using the Liker scale, which was directed and applied to the users of the electronic clinical file (officials), as well as to the patients who attend to attend in both health facilities. The objective of this research was to analyze and discuss the perception in the use, advantages and disadvantages of the attention through the electronic clinical record, and whose results were recorded once it was developed, highlighting the importance of the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC’S) in health care in Panama.
