Abstract
Information is a strategic resource for technology-based companies. It is necessary to recognize its value, especially for companies that use information as a basis for managing customers, products and services. That is why this article analyzes the perception of information as a strategic resource for the development of these companies, based on data management to collect information. A synthesis of the main findings in the bibliographic review is offered and the state of the art on the subject is developed. Technology-based companies and information in the company are characterized. Subsequently, the impact of information on EBTs and the role of science and technology parks as mediators in the use of information are described.
