Importancia del sistema nervioso central

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the current state of knowledge regarding the importance of the central nervous system (CNS). An exhaustive bibliographic review methodology was applied, analyzing scientific articles and specialized books published in the last 10 years. The most relevant findings indicate that the CNS plays a fundamental role in the integration and coordination of physiological and cognitive functions in the human body. The results suggest that the proper functioning of the CNS is crucial for maintaining homeostasis, processing sensory information, regulating movement, controlling emotions, and facilitating learning and memory processes. In conclusion, this article highlights the critical importance of the CNS for survival, cognitive development, and the overall well-being of human beings.
