Abstract
We have observed how the ability to interact between people has been affected or diminished after the COVID-19 pandemic; against this background, the objective of this research was to evaluate Interpersonal Relationships and how they are affected due to social anxiety in general psychology students. For this purpose we elaborated this study which is of quantitative type with a Non-Experimental design of Transectional correlational-causal type, a digital survey of 10 items was implemented that seeks to evaluate three fundamental aspects of Social Anxiety Disorder, which are: Ability to act in public, avoidant behaviors and the ability to interact, the same was applied through a form that allowed to keep the anonymity of the participant. Within the results observed in the measurement made, we have shown that 25% of the sample manifested a high and very high excessive fear when making oral presentations in the classroom, while 30% of the population studied revealed a high and very high fear when participating in classes. It was also evident that 38% have problems when initiating conversations with their classmates, denoting a certain limitation in interaction. This leads us to evaluate whether there are considerable traits of Social Anxiety Disorder in the sample studied. The conclusion obtained is that there are important traits of social anxiety within the sample studied which is impacting the proper development of these students.
