Abstract
The main objective of this research was to know the psychological perception of adolescents and if there is any kind of resistance from them in the face of attention. The methodology used in this study was quantitative with an exploratory scope under a descriptive study design. By means of the instrument used (survey form), it was shown that most adolescents are aware of psychological consultations; however, the major factor influencing the decision to seek psychological care for them is the opinion of society. It was concluded that adolescents did not present a high level of resistance, however, there are multiple factors that influence this decision. More than psychological care, the importance and attention that should be given to mental health was evidenced, which is why it is necessary to provide complete information about these services, trying to reduce misperceptions or stigmas that have been cultivated in society throughout history.
