Abstract

Various scientific studies show that the early diagnosis of endocrine diseases in preschool children, specifically between 4 and 5 years old, is of vital importance to ensure healthy development and prevent long-term complications. Teachers play a crucial role in detecting potential endocrinological problems in 4- to 5-year-olds within the school setting. These disorders, related to the endocrine system that regulates hormones, can affect children’s growth, development, and behavior. Educators should be watchful to identify early signs that could indicate the presence of endocrinological problems. In the classroom, teachers may notice signs such as unusually slow growth, short stature compared to peers, changes in body weight, persistent fatigue, or behaviors that could be linked to hormonal imbalances. In addition, observing patterns of physical and cognitive development, as well as tracking key developmental milestones, can provide valuable clues. Collaboration between teachers, parents, and health professionals is essential. Educators should communicate their observations to parents and suggest consultation with a pediatrician for a more thorough evaluation. Open communication and collaboration between all parties involved are key to addressing any concerns effectively and ensuring that children receive the necessary medical care.
