El Femicidio: Su prevención desde un punto de vista estratégico

Abstract

Femicide is the result of a behavior that precedes different forms of mistreatment of women; it is impunity in the face of violence against women, whether it occurs occasionally or recurrently. Among some of the forms of mistreatment that can be mentioned are: psychological violence, sexual slavery, physical mistreatment, deprivation of the freedom to develop the life of the woman, deprivation of communication, because of her sex, which implies that the perpetrator conceives the woman as property. Femicides are the result of hatred, discrimination or contempt for women, which is why most of the time the perpetrator is a man or a group of men. In this paper we want to highlight the importance of the issue today.
