Desafíos y oportunidades para el crecimiento económico sostenible en Panamá

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to analyze the challenges and opportunities for sustainable economic growth in Panama, providing a comprehensive view of the current situation and potential future directions. A qualitative research approach was applied, including economic data analysis, literature review, and consultation with experts in sustainable development and the Panamanian economy. Identified challenges included dependence on specific sectors, socioeconomic inequality, and environmental preservation. Highlighted opportunities were economic diversification, investment in renewable energy, and sustainable tourism. Findings suggested that Panama faced significant challenges in its pursuit of sustainable economic growth but also had key opportunities to effectively address these challenges. In conclusion, it was noted that the path to sustainable economic growth in Panama required a comprehensive approach addressing both identified challenges and opportunities. Economic diversification, investment in sustainable sectors, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders were considered key elements to achieve this goal.
