Abstract
Among the climatic elements that are related to precipitation, there is evaporation, which is very important in the formation of clouds, within the water cycle. Therefore, the general objective focused on describing the variation of evaporation in the upper basin of the La Villa River, the methodology was the following: type of study, descriptive; with a non-experimental, longitudinal design; with a quantitative approach. The population included rainfall between 1990 and 2015; and the sample, the rain is between 2000 and 2015; with a type of non-probabilistic sampling; intentional. The subject was precipitation. Document review was used to collect data with its instrument, the information matrix. To analyze the data, the mean, amplitude, time series, normality tests and Student’s t tests were used, using Microsoft Excel software, and IBM SPSS. The main results covered a trend towards reduced evaporation between the year 2006-2010. Including climatic alterations that impacted cloud formation and rainfall. The conclusions focused on an evaporation trend between the months of January to December for all years. Evaporation in the upper basin of the La Villa River showed variations that affected water production.
